Custom domains

Serve the widget from your own domain with a custom CNAME. Available on every paid plan.

Why a custom domain

By default the widget loads from agents.dante-ai.com. Pointing it at your own subdomain (e.g. chat.northwind.com or support.bluebird-bakery.com) keeps everything visitor-facing on your brand, helps with content-security-policy rules, and avoids third-party cookie warnings on some browsers.

Set it up

  1. Pick a subdomain. Most operators choose chat., support., or ai.
  2. Add a CNAME record in your DNS provider pointing the subdomain at agents.dante-ai.com.
  3. Enter the subdomain in Settings, Your domain. We verify the CNAME and provision an SSL certificate automatically.
  4. Update your embed snippet to use the custom host. The Install tab shows the new snippet once verification succeeds.
Plan availability. Every paid plan (Starter $40, Advanced $120, Pro $400) includes one custom domain. Free does not include custom domains. Pro adds the full white-label tier on top (Remove Dante branding bundled, Human Handover bundled), which pairs naturally with your own domain.

If verification fails

The most common cause is the CNAME record not having propagated yet. DNS changes typically take 5 to 15 minutes but can take up to an hour on some providers. Wait, click Verify again, and check that the CNAME points at agents.dante-ai.com with no trailing dot or extra characters.
