Refine instructions
Turn a rough description of how your agent should behave into a polished, structured prompt with one click.
What it does
You write your agent's behaviour in plain language, its tone, the topics it covers, and what to avoid. Refine takes that draft and rewrites it into a clearer, better-structured agent prompt: a role statement, scoped rules, a fallback for "I don't know", and format guidance. It keeps your intent, your wording choices, and your language (write in Spanish and you get Spanish back), and it never invents company names, pricing, or facts you didn't provide.
How to use it
- Open the Behaviour box. It lives on the Sandbox page while you build, and on Publish → Model after launch. Both edit the same field.
- Write a short description, for example: "You're a friendly support agent for Acme. Keep replies to two short sentences. Always end with a follow-up question."
- Click Refine instructions (the sparkle button at the top of the Behaviour section, also available in the expanded full-screen editor).
- Review the rewritten prompt that appears in the box, edit anything you like, then Save.
When the button is greyed out

Plans and monthly limit
Refine is available on paid plans. Each workspace gets a set number of refines per calendar month, the count resets on the 1st. Only successful refines count, so a failed attempt never uses one up.

Good to know
- Your draft can be up to 6,000 characters. Longer drafts are rejected before any rewrite runs.
- The rewritten prompt is kept compact (around 3,500 characters) so it stays sharp on every reply.
- If you mention emojis in your draft, the rewrite adds a rule to keep them on-topic. If you don't, it leaves emojis out.
- On a Free plan, the button shows a lock. Clicking it opens the upgrade options.
