AI Voice
Let visitors talk to your agent in real time. A voice agent answers with a natural voice, uses the same knowledge as your chatbot, and can even take phone calls.
What is a voice agent?
A voice agent is a speaking version of one of your existing agents. It answers from the same knowledge sources and follows the same behaviour instructions, but the conversation happens out loud: the visitor talks, the agent listens and replies with a natural-sounding voice.
Voice conversations are available on all paid plans:

Create a voice agent
- Open AI Voice in the sidebar. This lists your voice agents.
- Under Create a voice agent, give it a name (for example, "Sales voice").
- Pick the chatbot agent it should speak for. The voice agent inherits that agent's knowledge and instructions.
- Click create. The new voice agent appears in the list and a confirmation is shown; you stay on the list so you can create several in a row. Open the new agent from the list to customise how it sounds.
Choose a voice and style
On the voice agent's page you can shape the whole spoken experience:
- Voice: pick a voice provider and one of its preset voices.
- Speaking style: describe how it should sound, for example "Speak warmly and unhurried".
- Extra instructions: behaviour that only applies on calls, on top of the connected agent's instructions.
- Greeting: the first thing callers hear, for example "Hi! Ask me anything about our plans".
You can test a call right from the editor or the Sandbox before your visitors ever hear it.
How visitors start a call
Once a voice agent is connected, the chat widget on your site shows a voice-call button in the message bar. One click starts the call; the in-call screen shows who they are talking to and how long the call has been running. The visitor can end the call at any time and continue in text.
Voice credits
Voice conversations cost 5 credits per minute, deducted from the same workspace credit balance as chat messages. If your workspace runs out of credits, calls can no longer be started until credits renew or you top up. See Understanding credits.
Phone numbers
On Advanced and Pro you can give a voice agent a real phone number, so customers can simply call you and reach the agent:
- Advanced: rent 1 phone number. Advanced
- Pro: rent up to 3 phone numbers. Pro
Go to AI Voice → Phone numbers, search for an available number, and rent it. The number's monthly rental price is shown before you confirm and is billed on top of your subscription. Assign the number to a voice agent and inbound calls are answered by that agent. Call minutes use the same 5 credits per minute.
Transcripts and insights
Every call is transcribed. Read past calls under AI Voice → Conversations, the voice equivalent of chat history.
On Advanced and Pro, AI Voice → Insights adds aggregate analytics across your voice sessions: how often people call, how long calls last, and what they ask about.
