These docs describe the current Dante AI platform. On the earlier platform? Your API reference is api-v2.dante-ai.com/openapi.json, and your key goes in the x-api-key header.
Leads
The list of visitors who shared their contact details through the chat.
Open your dashboard, then pick an agent and go to Monitor → Leads โ
You will find this page in the app under Monitor → Leads. It collects the names, emails, phone numbers and company names that your AI agent gathers from visitors during chats.
Availability
The lead capture form is available on Advanced and Pro. On Free and Starter you cannot switch the form on, so it collects nothing. This page always lists your real entries and never sample rows, so it simply stays empty until something is captured.
While the setup wizard is still running, Leads is dimmed in the left menu. The line under it says why and gives you the one thing that opens it: on Free or Starter that is a link to your plans, and on Advanced or Pro it is a link to Go live, because the list fills once your AI agent is answering.
One exception, on every plan: unless you have switched Offer to take contact details off on your agent's Handover tab, the name and email a visitor leaves when they ask to speak to a person are saved here too. That switch is on by default. See Offer to take contact details for what the visitor sees and how to turn it off.
How leads land here
Once lead capture is turned on, there are two ways an entry is created:
- Lead capture form, your AI agent shows an inline form inside the chat at the moment you configured (for example after the first message, or when a visitor asks about a demo or pricing). When the visitor submits it, the entry appears here. See Lead capture to choose the fields and the trigger.
- Shared in chat, if a visitor types their details into the conversation, your AI agent can save them as a lead without showing the form.
- Asked for a person, if Offer to take contact details is on for the agent (it is by default) and Human Handover is off, a visitor who asks to speak to a human is offered a name and email form, and what they leave arrives here attached to that conversation. This one does not need lead capture switched on, and it works on every plan.
What you can do
The table lists each lead with Name, Email, Phone, and Submitted at.
- Filter by date range using the pills above the table.
- Sort by any column by clicking its header.
- Tick the checkboxes to select specific rows, then export only those.
- Export the full list, or just your selected rows, as CSV, JSON, or PDF for your CRM.
The captured name also labels the matching conversation in Chat history, so you can open it there to read the full chat that led to the capture.
